Teenage engineering releases OS 1.2.0 for the OP–XY on October 15, free for existing units. It adds a drum synthesizer with ten drum types and multichannel audio over USB-C and a new dynamic filter and expanded envelope controls and a detune parameter. Owners get to feel they chose well without spending anything. Product owner Jonas demonstrates it at the Department Store, 216 Lafayette St, New York, from 5 to 7 pm. On October 16 a sound library built by producer Douglas Carr arrives, and he demonstrates it in the store at the same hours.
